November 21, 2011 New book published about Paul-André Fortier’s Solo 30x30 by Galerie de l’UQAM and Fortier Danse-Création Montréal, November 18, 2011 — Fortier Danse-Création and Galerie de l’UQAM are pleased to launch Solo 30x30, a book devoted entirely to Paul André Fortier’s work by this name. Everyone is invited to attend the book launch, which will take place on Monday, November 28, 2011 from 5:30 pm at Librairie Le Port de tête (262 Mont-Royal East, Montréal). The choreographer/dancer, artist Yann Pocreau as well as the book’s other authors, will all be present. »» August 23, 2011 30 years, Solo 30x30, 30 writers, 30 photos, and more Montréal, August 23, 2011 – Fortier Danse-Création, the company directed by choreographer Paul-André Fortier, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. To mark this special anniversary, Solo 30x30, Bras de Plomb and Cabane, three pieces from the company’s repertoire, will be presented this fall in Montreal, the city where Paul-André Fortier built his choreography career. A number of events are scheduled, including the restaging in Montreal of two of his signature pieces, Solo 30x30 and Bras de plomb. The performance of a new piece, Box, l’homme au carton, the continuation of Cabane’s tour and some additional teaching activities will also contribute to the company’s full schedule this anniversary year. »» October 12 Paul-André Fortier to receive a prestigious award at Visages de la danse. Cabane to tour Quebec Paul-André Fortier is looking forward to an exciting fall season, having just returned from Liege, Belgium, where he presented Solo 30x30. In early November, he will take part in Visages de la danse in Montreal, where he will be presented with the insignia of the Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.
