FEATURED and HONOURED
Paul-André Fortier will take part in Visages de la danse at Circuit-Est centre chorégraphique. The event, scheduled for Tuesday, November 2 at 7 p.m., is being organized and moderated by journalist and dance writer, Aline Apostolska. Well known contemporary dance figures have been invited to discuss their lives and share their creative process with the public.
During the evening, Paul-André Fortier will be awarded the insignia of the Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by Hélène Le Gal, Consul General of France in Quebec. This prestigious award is given to individuals who have significantly contributed to the arts or literature in France or internationally.
CABANE ON TOUR ACROSS QUÉBEC
Shortly after receiving this award, Paul-André Fortier will present Cabane at the Agora de la danse on November 18, 19 and 20. This will be the production’s first time back in Montreal since its creation at the Festival TransAmériques in 2008.
Cabane will also tour several regions of Quebec. The piece will be performed at Centennial Theatre in Lennoxville on November 9, at the Festival de théâtre in l’Assomption on November 13, then at La Rotonde in Quebec City on November 23 and 24, followed by a performance at Théâtre du Bic on December 4, at Salle de spectacle Jean-Marc-Dion in Sept-Îles on March 7, 2011 and finally at Théâtre de Baie-Comeau in Baie-Comeau on March 9, 2011.
